When you startup the guest in VMWare Server and it throws a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) with a STOP 0x000000D9 , it may be a simple fix to correct. The following worked for me on a Windoes XP Pro machine: Click Start > Run . Type regedit and press Enter.
